I have always loved the “shepherd/sheep” imagery in the Bible. Yesterday, the team was taken on a hike and to a sheep farm. We were able to wander around the farm and see not only the sheep, but other types of farm animals – some we were familiar with and others we had never encountered.
Through this outing, I was once again reminded of how “safe” I am in the arms of my Father. He cares, cherishes, corrects, creates rest, and so much more. His compassion for me in a way seems so unreal, yet, I am moved to respond when I hear His voice – to follow even when the way seems rocky or unclear.
It’s this kind of “amazing love” we show our students every day. They respond and are pointed to the love of their Good Shepherd. Please continue to pray that we will represent Him well.
